IN ITS DAILY ACTIVITIES, ALB-AID RESPECTS THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLES:
ALB-AID works according to its own principles and does not in any case define its action according to the internal or foreign policy interests of any government whatsoever.
ALB-AID is strictly non-partisan and works in full respect of political as well as religious neutrality and impartiality.
ALB-AID refuses, in its action, any discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, opinion or class.
ALB-AID respects gender equality and works to make it part of its standards. In employment policies priority is given to women.
FREE AND DIRECT ACCESS TO VICTIMS:
ALB-AID bases its action on a requirement of free accesses to the victims and on direct management of its programs. All means are used for this purpose ALB-AID also checks the allocation of its resources, with a view to ensure that they are really provided to the vulnerable populations for whom they are intended.
ALB-AID bases the conception, the realization, the management and the assessment of its programs on requirements of professionalism and on capitalization of experience, so as to optimize efficiency and resources allocation. As such intends to hire the best expertise available in the region encouraging young skilled persons.
ALB-AID is committed, towards beneficiaries as well as towards its partners and donors, to respect transparency and provides regular information on the allocation and management of financial resources and to present all due guarantees and evidence of its management process’s quality on regular basis’s. In order to be transparent to the public, ALB-AID publishes regularly information regarding projects and their budgets in its newspaper and web page. ANTI-CORRUPTION RULES, PROCEDURES AND REGULATIONS:
Anti-corruption rules and regulations are fixed in the Statute and basic manuals of ALB-AID such as: Human Resources Manual, NGO Operations and Procurement Manuals. ALB-AID applies independent auditing for the projects implemented. The accounting documents of NGO are open to the public. Decisions are taken through established structures. The NGO has an Ethical Comity which ensures that the decisions taken by the management Bodies of the NGO are not subject of corruption. Also there is a clear distinction between the Legislative Body and the Executive body of the NGO. Each year the NGO hires an independent Auditor to audit the NGO accounts. This report is presented to the Assembly. If corruption procedures are identified, the strict foreseen punishments are applied as regulated by the Operations Manuals.
